H_RATCHET SGL 36T Hub Ratchet Removal Process

This guide will walk you through how to remove the internal ratchet from your H_RATCHET SGL 36T hub.

The tool can be used with a benched installed vice, a 24mm open end wrench or socket.

Vice process:

1 - Remove the drive-side end cap, freehub, floating ratchet and spring and set them to one side.

2 - Securely install the H_RATCHET tool into the vice, with the four prongs facing upwards. The four prongs slot into the four holes of the internal ratchet ring.

3 - Ensure you have enough room to turn/spin the wheel!

4 - Place the wheel hub onto the four prongs of the tool.

5 - With the hub secured on the tool, rotate the wheel counter clockwise.

Open end wrench/socket process:

1 - Secure the H_RATCHET tool in the hub internal ratchet ring. The four prongs slot into the four holes of the internal ratchet ring. 

2 - Attach wrench or socket to the tool. 

3 - Rotate the tool counter clockwise to remove ratchet ring. 

Once you have completed your maintenance, to reinstall the ratchet ring, simply repeat the process in reverse.
